Conservatives, drop your gloves

Okay America, lets get on with it. It is time to take the gloves off.

With Sarah Palin we finally have a true conservative on the ticket. As you know, Senator McCain finished his acceptance speech by stating the need to fight, to fight for your country.   We conservatives need to stand up and stick to our conservative values and support the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights as they are written. This blog is my interpretation of what Senator McCain means.

We need to fight-off the pointless attacks by liberals with FACTS and expose their fear of facts. Let us make the liberals squirm and sweat when we admit to our faith, our values, our understanding of economics, the need for small government, and the desire to do what is right for the country. Conservatives need to stand up and interrupt the uneducated and pointless rants of the liberals.  We need to call them out when they lie and start conspiracy theories. We must demand proof of why the say or write the things they do.  The Conservative base needs to be on the offense, not the defense.  I'm tired of being shouted into a corner.  Take the gloves off my fellow conservatives, and come out taking calculated and educated swings.

Conservatives need to show what it means to get an education, how to work hard, how to be successful and not expect a handout from the government. Somehow we need to show people what it means to take responsibility for themselves and/or their family.  The government doesn't 'owe' anybody anything except freedom and security.  I'm being honest here America, I think there should be two employment rates collected .  The first would be the "My business closed and I want to work" category, followed by the second category of "I am too lazy to work and I expect a handout".  I was stuck in line at a grocery store yesterday and had to listen to a female complain about her welfare check being late.  During her rant to her friend her cell phone rang!  That's right, her cell phone.  She is unemployed and yet is so important that she needs to spend her money on cell phone service.  I won't tell you what kind of car she ended up driving away in while she smoked her cigarette; it would make your brain explode.

We the people need to ask liberals straight forward questions and insist on straight forward answers. I don't mean the interviews in the liberal media, those are a joke.  I mean the American people need to ask the questions.  Do not let the liberals dance around the subject! For example, the simple economic principle of supply and demand seems quite confusing to the liberals. With the help of educated, patient, and enthusiastic conservatives they will understand the principle, as well as many others.  We the people need to prove to the liberals and the radical left that we are not going to fall for the shell game and word-smithing any more.

My fellow conservatives, we need to stay focused on the presidential race while ALSO keeping our energy to the upcoming senate races, congressional races, and local elections. What the liberals keep failing to admit is that for the past TWO YEARS, the congress has had a democratic majority. Senator McCain mentioned the do-nothing congress briefly in his speech but he needs to stand up and fight this issue. This do-nothing democrat congress needs to go! The American people need to talk to (yes, actually speak to them) candidates and/or incumbents for all levels of office and demand answers to simple questions. All candidates need to state their convictions and be able to support them. It is okay if the candidates have different convictions and values than you and I; they just need to admit it! Choosing the correct values and convictions is what gets a person elected by the majority.  When I get into political discussions at work I like to ask people who their Senator and Congressman are.  If they don't know you can bet they get an earful from me.

What I am talking about here America is that we need to bring back the meaning of “We the People”.

Sarah Palin

Thanks Senator McCain for choosing a true conservative as your running mate. It is so unfortunate (yet expected I guess) that the liberals and the liberal media don't have a clue (or want to admit it) why the choice is such a good one. With the unpredictable and 'empty suit' Barrack Hussein Obama as their candidate, what gives them the right to pass judgment on Sarah Palin? It is also quite disgusting how the libs say that they don't know who Sarah Palin is. That argument shows what state of denial the libs are in. I consider myself an average American citizen and I know who she is! If those that only follow politics during elections don’t know who she is, it’s not Governor Palins’ fault. American citizens that show interest in their country and understand what it takes to run a republic of fifty states (not fifty-seven Obama), knows who is who. American citizens that are involved and/or concerned about their local, state, and federal government know that Sarah Palin has been instrumental in reforming the Alaskan government, reducing spending, creating a budget surplus, and building a natural gas pipeline ahead of schedule. Please don’t forget that Senator Biden voted against the Alaskan oil pipeline!

Have the libs seriously looked into Barrack Hussein Obama? I think the libs know exactly the huge mistake they made with Barrack Hussein Obama and they are in complete denial of his radical past and his Marxist philosophy. The libs are angered that the Republicans actually have a solid VP candidate that has lived outside of Washington D.C. and believes in core values. Sarah Palin has the experience and tenacity to be the VP.  Barrack Hussein Obama doesn't have the experience or leadership skills to manage a video store, let alone the experience to lead a great nation like ours.

Sarah Palin is exactly what this great nation needs right now! Sarah is a mother, a successful governor, and a person who knows what real life is all about. Her daughter is pregnant, big deal. Sarah and her family will handle it with responsibility, grace, and love. No family, not even the Palin family, is protected from trials and tribulations of everyday life.  Why on Earth are people claiming that Sarah Palin is ‘abandoning her baby’ by running for VP? Who are we to make such accusations and predictions?! I think we should give her the same respect and support as we would give any other person in the same situation. This society has unfortunately turned into a two income ‘video game is the babysitter’ society. Now however, people expect high profile people such as Sarah to stay home and bake cookies. I respect Sarah Palin for not taking the easy route and showing us she has the determination and dedication to do what is right. I respect her for standing up to serve this great nation all while being a loving and caring wife and mother. Again, I expected such cruel criticism from the libs. When the libs get scared and they know their in a corner, all they can do is ramble off false accusations and start conspiracy theories. The libs hate facts; they hate facing the truth and debating meaningful issues. The libs are scared of liberty and true convictions of service to country. A person like Sarah Palin is scary to the libs because she will expect everyone in Washington D.C. to serve the people and to be responsible for their actions.

Barrack Hussein Obama finally said something meaningful when he said "families are off limits in the campaign, especially the children." I sure wish the liberal media (CNN and MSNBC) would do the same. Senator McCain and Governor Palin put the gloves away during the hurricane, but the liberal media kept the gloves on. The media as usual played-up a non-event all during the day as if we were supposed to be amazed that it was rainy and windy in New Orleans.

Please Senator McCain and Governor Palin, start the RNC off with a bang on Tuesday! Give us three full days of exciting conservative celebrations!
